About the Club!
Michigan State University Neuroscience Club is a student-run organization that is dedicated to promoting an inclusive community for students of all undergraduate degree majors who are interested in neuroscience.
The club offers a variety of events and activities throughout the academic year that are designed to provide members with opportunities to learn about the latest research in the field, participate in research labs, network with faculty and peers, explore career possibilities, and more.
At our bi-weekly meetings, we discuss current research that is being conducted by the Neuroscience Faculty, giving members a chance to learn about the latest finding in the field.
Our club also provides resources to help members navigate their academic journey. We offer course scheduling advice, academic support, and help with career planning. Members can also participate in a mini-UURAF (University Undergraduate Research and Arts Forum), where they can present their research to a wider audience.
In addition to our regular meetings, we hold three types of events throughout the academic year: outreach, social, and fundraising. Our outreach events focus on educating the public about neuroscience and its impact on society. Our social events provide members with opportunities to socialize, network, and build relationships with their peers.
Our fundraising events help us raise money to support our activities and programs.
We are committed to fostering an inclusive environment that welcomes students from all backgrounds and disciplines,
and we are always looking for new members to join us in exploring the fascinating world of neuroscience!

Hello my name is Grace Stys, and I am a senior studying neuroscience and psychology! I am President of the Neuroscience Club this fall but have also served as Vice President and Secretary in the past. I currently work in Dr. AJ Robison’s lab as a research assistant and work as an Undergraduate Research Ambassador, so reach out to me with any questions about research at MSU or the neuroscience community in general if you need. In my free time I like reading and listening to new music, and fun fact about me I really like frogs!
.
Hi guys! My name is Jozi and I am going to be your VP this semester! I am a senior this year graduating with a bachelor’s of Neuroscience, ADDUs in Human Biology and Psychology, and a minor in cognitive science. Outside of Neuroclub, I am a part of the Honors College and a Resident Assistant in Wonders hall! I also love to go to football games, ice skate at the Munn, work out at IM west, and hang out with friends! See y’all very soon!! 💚🤍🧠
Hi! My name is Natalie Kaczmarek and I’m going to be a senior this year! I’ll be serving as secretary this year after two years of PR chair and am so excited for this year! Despite having been in the club for 3 years, I am actually a Medical Laboratory Science major. After switching my major from neuroscience to MLS, i decided to stay in the club because of the people and how much fun we have! MLS is a perfect mix between health care and lab work but it’s still a relatively unknown field so feel free to ask me any questions! I love watching TV and movies and my favorite artists are Chappell Roan, Hozier, Billy Joel, and Olivia Rodrigo. I also do nails in my free time and was a huge marching band kid! I can’t wait for the year to get started!
My name is Mya Sebek, and I am one of the outreach co-chairs. I’m a Junior majoring in neuroscience with a concentration in cellular and developmental neuroscience. I currently volunteer at Sparrow and Haven House. I also participate in undergraduate research in the Crandall lab. In my free time I love to run, read, and watch movies!
Hi guys my name is Katie McGrath and I’m one of the outreach co-chairs! I’m a junior majoring in neuroscience (cellular and developmental) and genomics/molecular genetics. I’m an undergrad researcher in the Mazei-Robison lab and this summer I did neuro research in Dublin! Outside of school, I love reading, baking, running, and doing crafts!
Hi everyone! My name is Bijanka and I am your new social chair! I am third year psychology major minoring in cognitive science. I cannot wait for this year and all of the socials we have planned! Some things I like to do in my free time are sing, play the piano, write, and watch tv. A fun fact about me is that this summer I was an orientation intern for NSO (new student orientation) and helped out with planning our events for orientation! If you want to learn more and get involved with NSO, I’d be happy to answer any questions :) I cannot wait for this year and all of the socials planned!
Hi everyone! My name is Maria, and I am currently a senior majoring in neuroscience and minoring in CMSE. I have been professional developmental chair for 2 years now and have been on the eboard for 3 years, and I have loved getting to know everyone and make fun little events! On campus, I am currently involved in sleep research and I’m on the pre-med track, so if anyone has any questions always feel free to reach out. Some fun facts about me are that I love to collect plants and play the drums.
Hi, my name is Viola Weber. I am a sophomore majoring in neuroscience with a cognitive and computational concentration. I am the treasure for the neuroscience club this year. I am part of the honors college and I work in the Yan Lab with Nile Grass Rats. I also love to read, play oboe, craft, bake, and hangout with friends.
My name is Justin Jaraczewski, and I am a neuroscience major set to graduate in 2026. Currently, I work as a research assistant in the Wang Lab, focusing on the mechanisms of memory consolidation. My passion for neuroscience drives my ambition to pursue a research-oriented career after graduate school. As the Fundraising Chair for the Neuroscience Club, I am committed to spearheading initiatives that genuinely impact our community. In my free time, I enjoy taking road trips or backpacking, stand-up comedy, and reading sci-fi, classic literature, and non-fiction books. Through my role in the club and my academic pursuits, I am dedicated to fostering an environment rich in curiosity, growth, and support for other aspiring neuroscientists.
Hi guys, my name is Alexa Green and I am this year's Public Relations Chair! I am currently a junior with a dual major in cognitive and computational Neuroscience and Physiology. Outside of the neuroscience club I am part of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority where our philanthropy is the Kindley Hearts Initiative! Some of my interests include playing guitar and piano, going to the gym, and spending time with my friends. I hope everyone is as excited as I am for the start of this year!
